Under Armour is an American sportswear company. The company offers regular sportswear. Under Armour began selling shoes in 2006. Under Armour is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Its European offices are located at the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium; other offices are located in Denver, Colorado, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, China, Jakarta, Indonesia, and Toronto, Canada.
Under Armour was founded in 1996 by Kevin Planck, the then 23-year-old former captain of the University of Maryland football team. Planck first started working from the basement of his grandmother’s home in Washington, DC. He spent his time traveling across the East Coast, selling clothes in the trunk of his car.
His first team sale was in late 1996 for $ 17,000. Planck moved from his grandmother’s basement to Baltimore Maryland. After moving to the city several times, he settled in his current main office in Tide Point.
