Gazikovsky’s screenplay is full of interesting suspensions and unexpected events that fans of the ‘crime’ genre have been waiting for a long time.
“Prisoners” is one of those movies whose production and release is a double-edged sword because if the director and the writer fail to tell a suspenseful and compelling story to the audience, their work will be severely condemned and the failure will be severe.
Among the successful films made in the crime genre are “Silence of the Lambs” and “Seven”, each of which is one of the lasting works of cinema. But which category do the “prisoners” belong to?
A group that is going to be convicted or is going to stay? Fortunately, I have to say that “Prisoners” pays attention to all the details of a crime, and that’s why it’s so engaging that it’s definitely in the second category, the enduring works.
