Columbia Pictures is an American film production and distribution studio. Originally founded in 1918 as “Cohn-Brandt-Cohn Film Sales”, it adopted the current name in 1924, which is derived from “Columbia”, a national personification of the United States, which is used as the studio’s screen logo.
The font used for the screen logo of Columbia Pictures is very similar to Columbia, a sans serif font made by the DeviantArt user 629Lyric based on the logo itself.
