A Clockwork Orange is a crime film. This dystopian film is adapted, produced, and directed by Stanley Kubrick; the American director who is cited as one of the most influential filmmakers in history.
The film is based on Anthony Burgess’s novel A Clockwork Orange that employs some violent images in order to comment on youth gangs and social and political subjects in Britain. The central character in the film is Alex (Malcolm McDowell).
Alex is an antisocial delinquent interested in Beethoven, commits rape, and is interested in ultra-violence.
